About
Tim Beadle - Bath-based Web development consultant
I am a Web developer with nearly 20 years’ experience in a variety of sectors, including academic publishing, financial services, online retail, Web design agencies and not-for-profit organisations.
I help move organisations forward in technology and process adoption, for the benefit of businesses and customers.
Some examples of this are:
- Introducing various forms of automated testing including unit testing (MXUnit, Testbox, QUnit), application settings verification against schema (grunt-tv4), code style checks (eslint, CFLint) and http redirection tests (Mocha & request).
- Introducing a front-end asset build pipeline (using Grunt.js) to check, test, bundle, minify and deploy CSS, Javascript and images.
- Migrating a church’s email newsletter from a home-grown solution to Mailchimp, a leading email services provider, and their Web site from the same home-grown system to Wordpress.
- Ensuring that accessibility and Web Standards-based design and development became the norm at a large academic publisher.
